How to Have a Sound Mind Body and Spirit

In this gruelling times there are a lot factors that raises the stress levels of people, both young and old which causes unseen damage towards their whole being including their physicality, spirituality, emotions and mental state.

Stress has also been one of the “silent killers” all over the world especially since some diseases which lay dormant in one’s body can be triggered by so much stress.

Let us list down and find for ourselves several things to combat stress and live a sound life which has a good balance between mind, body and soul or spirit.

* Detox - Detoxify once in a while. Detoxifying can mean a number of things. Physically detoxifying means ridding oneself of toxins or unhealthy substances. This would be abstaining once in awhile from copious amounts of alcoholic beverages or even cigarettes and other bad vices.

Physical detox could also mean getting out all those stiffness and tension in the body either by sitting down on a leather massage chair. Spiritual detox on the other hand means pouring out your heart and soul in order to become pure once more. Mental detox means removing any impure or unnecessary thoughts including worrying about money and similar things.

* Exercise – Plato once said in his books – “Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it.” Exercise is good for both mind and body as it keeps you alive and fit physically and at the same time hones your mind and keeps it sharp as well.

* Rest – Rest and vacation is also a nice way of getting back down to Earth and at the same time a great way to touch base not only with your soul but also helps to relax your mind. Physically getting away from the root source of stress i.e. your work or studies will be a big factor in making creating a healthier life. Remember the saying “All work and no play makes John a frail boy”. So kick back, spend some time in massage recliner chairs and leave all your worries behind.

* Start a new Diet – a lot of researchers agree that going on a new and improved (not to mention healthy diet) can do a person a lot of good. A lot of people who gets exposed to tremendous amounts of stress would often state that if not for exercise and a proper diet they would have been goners.

If you’re the type who’d rather go to Burger King or McDonalds rather than eat a stick of carrot or celery then you might want to start getting less of that and more of the good stuff like fruit juices and lots of veggies and fruits. This is good not only physically but also mentally since some fruits and vegetables help in making your brain and mind sharper than normal.

These are only a few great tips hat you can follow to help build a better life and an ever better spirituality and emotional well being.
